Frequently asked questions

What are the rules?

In Balance, every ring and spoke contains all six symbols exactly once. Symbols with a dot are fixed clues. In Constellations, the rule also applies to every coloured region. In Drift, select and rotate rings to remove repeats along the spokes; the inner ring stays fixed. Open the guide with the question-mark button at any time.

How do I save and resume a game?

Your moves are saved automatically. Return to the atlas and choose “Resume your orbit”. Starting another game replaces the current one after you confirm. AsterGrid stores one active game at a time.

How do notes and hints work?

Turn on Notes to mark candidates; numbers 1 to 6 match the six symbols below. You can use up to three hints per game. Each reveals or corrects one cell and costs one star; the final cell is always yours to solve. In Drift, the hint explains a strategy without moving any ring.

How do I earn stars?

In Balance and Constellations, you earn three stars with no mistakes or hints. Each mistake removes one star and each hint removes one star, to a minimum of one. In Drift, your rotation count is measured against the reference shown at the end. Undo lets you explore without spending final moves. Replaying a stage keeps your best result.

Do I need internet access? When does the daily challenge change?

The game works offline. The daily challenge follows your device’s local date. Opening public web pages or sending email requires an internet connection.

Can I transfer progress to another device?

There is no dedicated sync. A restore from an Apple backup depends on your system settings. Before deleting the app to troubleshoot a problem, contact support: the developer does not hold a copy of your saved game.

How do I delete my data?

Open Information from the home screen and choose “Delete Game and Progress”. After you confirm, the command removes your stars, active game, history and local recovery copy. This cannot be undone. You can also disable haptic feedback in Preferences.
